First Pound Eurobond Issue in CIS

The Eurobond Issue in British pounds has been taken place for the first time in CIS history of bond issues. TuranAlem Finance B.V. issued bonds with 7.125% annual coupon rate and BTA as underwriter. Volume of placement is 200 million pounds. It was increased from originally announced 150 million pounds after successful non-deal road show. The bonds are placed by Deutsche Bank as a book-runner among more than 500 companies and can be repaid in 3 years after the placement.

"The decision to place Eurobonds in British pounds up to the end of 2006 was made by the Bank’s Board in the context of high demand from pound investors for instruments issued by Bank TuranAlem," – explained Sadyr Shaguzhayev, Head of Bank’s Debt Capital Markets Division.

The issue was carried out under the EMTN program with listing at London Stock Exchange.
