Meeting of BTA top-management with businessmen of South-Kazakhstan region

Today, on October 17, 2006, Bank TuranAlem top-managers held a meeting with heads of regional and city akimat (mayor's office) and businessmen of South-Kazakhstan region.

The meeting is directed at discussion of problems for cooperation of Kazakhstan SMEs, processing and other companies of the region with Bank TuranAlem and local representatives of executive power.

"Bank TuranAlem and our South-Kazakhstan branch are ready to offer all their technologies and products: from accounts to trade finance products. In particular, we offer credits up to 10 years, provide products from EBRD, Asian and Islamic Banks for Development. We are ready to credit starting businesses and to provide an opportunity of privileged conditions of primary debt and interest repayment. We strongly intend to develop leasing, which will allow businessmen to purchase and renew their permanent assets without withdrawals from turnover. Next year we will open 5 new offices in the region, including 2 retail branches." – said Saduakas Mameshtegi, Chairman of the Management Board of Bank TuranAlem.

Regional administration received humanitarian aid from the Bank – a modern immune-enzyme analysis mini-laboratory for HIV-infection diagnostics. "We hope that our laboratory will help to prevent new cases of infections. The system is already in Shymkent and within the next few days it will be installed in regional blood transfusion center by vendor-company, which will also conduct training sessions for medical staff." – said Saduakas Mameshtegi, handing over the symbolical certificate for the laboratory to Darkhan Mynbai, Deputy Akim (Mayor) of the region, Abdumutalip Kubeyev, Deputy Akim of Shymkent, Vyacheslav Dudnik, Head of Regional Health Department and Marat Daumenov, Head of Regional Blood Center. On October 19, bankers will also visit the school, where studied Yerzhan Tatishev, who headed Bank TuranAlem for 7 years and who transformed it into one of the strongest financial institutions of Kazakhstan and CIS. The aim of the visit is to communicate with pupils and to present new them with new sport equipment. The same day, the delegation plans to see Khodja Akhmet Yassaui mausoleum in Turkestan.

On October 20, as a part of the program of BTA management meetings with businessmen and state executives of the region, Kazakh drama theater of Shanin will premier the first Kazakhstan musical "Kyz Zhybek", directed and produced by honored Bolat Atabayev. After premier, the musical will go on CIS tour, sponsored by BTA.

Bolat Atabayev was born in Taldy-Kurgan region. Graduated in Foreign Languages and Arts. Worked as a production director in Republic German Drama Theater, Kazakh State Academic Theater of M.Auyezov. Trained in 1998 in Munich's Prinzregententheater, in 2003 in Mulchaim's Theater an der Ruhr, and in 2004 in Milan's La Scala. At present, he is a Senior Director of Republic German Drama Theater, acts as professor of KazNAI of Zhurgenev. He is also a founder of International Central Asian Arts Academy in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
