The Largest Placement of Eurobonds among Issuers from Emerging Markets and Kazakhstan
25.09.2006 / Press-serviceBank TuranAlem the largest facility for placement of 5-year Eurobonds in amount of 500 million. The deal was offered at 6.25% p.a. yield. Bonds rating - Baa1/BB/ The whole issue was placed in international market with wide geographical diversification: UK-35%, Germany/Austria-20%, Switzerland-11%, Asia-6%, USA-3% and 25% - rest of the Europe.
ABN AMRO and Dresdner Kleinwort performed as Lead Managers and Book-Runners. The Eurobonds placement was preceded by 5-day road-show in Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Geneva, London, Singapore and Hong Kong.
"Interest from the investors' side exceeded our expectations. In 24 hours after the announcement the bidding book grew up to 1.2 bln Euro. Investors, 95% of which are funds and banks, who were not fully satisfied with their bids, hastened to purchase the bonds at the secondary market. The Bank paid the lowest price for new placement in Euro." – says Sadyr Shaguzhayev, Head of Debt Capital Markets.
The placement was carried out in accordance to the plan of attractions announced in the beginning of the year. As for now, the Bank does not plan any placement of Senior Public Eurobonds for large amounts till the end of the year.
